Volunteers

Volunteers provide much needed support to the activities of the Society through a variety of volunteer assignments. We are always happy to hear from people who can offer some time to the Society be it an hour a week or a couple of days a week. Volunteers are currently involved in a range of assignments which offer them an opportunity to use their skills or maybe learn new ones. We are currently looking for volunteers to become involved in...

What Next?
If you feel that you would like to become involved in the work of the Society as a Volunteer, please get in touch. Our activities cover Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray and we would be delighted to hear from you regardless of where you live.

Our volunteers undergo an awareness training session which gives them an insight into the work of the Society, information on the various eye conditions affecting our clients, together with a hands-on experience of guiding clients. We don't expect people to be experts as we are happy to offer training specific to the volunteer's area of interest. If you are not too sure whether or not volunteering is for you then why not give us a ring and arrange to come in for an informal chat. We would be more than happy to show you around the Resource Centre and tell you more about our work and the valuable contribution that our dedicated team of volunteers make.
